Oscarsborg Retreat
Join WarmFolk and Karen Lewis Textiles on the island of Oscarsborg from April 12-14, 2024!
Karen Lewis has been wowing quilting audiences for years with her creativity and surface design. Along with designing quilt patterns for various magazines and fabric for Robert Kaufman, she's known for being a wonderful teacher. We're so excited to have her visit the Oslo area for this weekend retreat!
During our time together, you'll have two workshops: one on linocut and one on silkscreen printing.
Supplies
Provided with the Silkscreen on Friday: Craft knife, embroidery hoop, paint, gauze, assorted 5" squares for practice, 1/2 yard Essex linen from Robert Kaufman fabrics.
Provided with the Linocut workshop on Saturday: Tray, paint, block sheets, roller, cutter, assorted 5" squares for practice, 1/2 yard Essex linen from Robert Kaufman fabrics.
All workshop supplies come in a beautiful tote with event logos one side and a blank side for you to customize with your workshop creations!
Participants are welcome to bring extra fabric to print on. Karen recommends solids (without print or patterns) and about 4-5 fat quarters per workshop.
