Join WarmFolk and Karen Lewis Textiles on the island of Oscarsborg from April 12-14, 2024!

Karen Lewis has impressed quilting audiences for years with her creativity and surface design. We're so excited she'll teach her printing methods in the Oslo area during this weekend retreat. Karen will be teaching TWO workshops: linocut printing on textiles and silk screen printing on textiles.

The workshop cost includes teaching fees, all of the tools and supplies needed for the day, plus several fun extras! All workshop supplies come in a beautiful tote with event logos one side and a blank side to customize with your workshop creations. While workshops can be taken a la carte, it is recommended to join us for the entire weekend. Selecting the option for "workshop with two-night hotel" creates an automatic reservation at the hotel under your name for Friday and Saturday nights and gives you the best rate for meals. This also creates opportunities for you to explore the island or enjoy some handwork on the balcony overlooking the Oslo fjord. Costs (NOK = Norwegian Kroner, USD = United States Dollar, GBP = Pound Sterling)*:

• Single occupancy for the weekend is 7740 NOK (765 USD, 600 GBP).
• Double occupancy for the weekend is 7140 NOK (705 USD, 550 GBP).

This covers all meals, two nights at the hotel, two workshops, and all supplies, tools, and materials needed. In Norway, it is customary to pay hotel fees directly to the hotel at checkout. The hotel reservation will be made automatically after booking the workshops here for the amount of 2595 NOK (250 USD, 195 GBP).

A limited number of spaces are available to drop in for a single workshop:

• Silkscreen workshop, supplies, + lunch: 1650 NOK (160 USD, 125 GBP)
• Linocut workshop, supplies, + lunch: 1900 NOK (185 USD, 145 GBP)

Cancellation policy: After December 1, payments are final and can not be returned. Prior to December 1, payments may be returned with request minus a 5% service fee. If the minimum capacity isn't reached by January 1, all participants will be notified and all payments refunded in full. If your travel originates outside of Norway, trip insurance purchased by your preferred insurance company is highly recommended.
